F.A.Q.

What Stream Decks are supported?

We currently support:

  • Stream Deck XL
  • Stream Deck
  • Stream Deck Mobile

I don’t have a stream deck, can I use my phone?

Yes, fortunately Elgato also has a stream deck solution for iOS & Android. See Elgato’s website about Stream Deck Mobile for more information. We have custom profiles for each airplane so you can use Stream Deck Mobile without any issues.

Does the license cover MSFS 2020 & X-Plane 11/12?

Yes, all versions are included.

Is X-Plane macOS supported?

Yes, the X-Plane plugin supports Windows, macOS (Intel based chips) & macOS (Apple Silicon based chips (M1, M1 Pro & M1 Max)).

Help, my camera buttons are not working?

We haven’t figured out why, but in some cases Stream Deck needs to be run in Administrator mode for the camera commands to be functional.

Help, only the camera buttons are working?

This usually means that the plugin wasn’t installed correctly. Quit Stream Deck by going to the task bar (bottom right),right click on the Stream Deck icon and choose “Quit Stream Deck”. Then open the flightdeck-plugin.exe to start the installation. After the installation is finished restart the Stream Deck application or restart your computer and the commands should work fine. If not, send us an e-mail at land@flightdeck.to and we’ll be happy to assist.

Can I create my own layouts?

Yes definitely, for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, data is send trough SimConnect and there’s a file included that lists al available SimConnect commands. The plugin also supports writing to LVars by utulizing the mobiflight event module.

With regards to X-Plane, any valid generic X-Plane or plane specific X-Plane command will work. If you’re looking for a specific command and can’t find it, don’t hesistate to drop me a line. I’m happy to help.

For Prepar3D, we support simconnect, custom lvars & commands for the popular PMDG planes.

Can you add Plane XYZ?

We’re always happy to take a look, please fill in the form at the bottom of this page or send us an e-mail at land@flightdeck.to.

Is the plugin open source?

Yes, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 plugin is completely open-source. See our Github repository for the codebase. The profiles however, are not open source, so please do not redistribute them.

The MSFS2020 FlightDeck plugin is a continuation of the excellent work done by https://github.com/nguyenquyhy/Flight-Tracker-StreamDeck. If you’re just interested in the plugin and not the custom profiles I really advice you to check them out or download our continuation of that code and encourage you to create your own custom profiles.

The X-Plane & Prepar3D plugin are not open source.
